The Zion National Park and Southern Utah area hosts some of the highest concentration of diverse rock climbing in the US . This varied terrain and numerous rock types enable a perfect venue for all-levels and styles of climbing. Beginner/easy rock climbing does not require large amounts of upper body strength, and is suited to people of all fitness levels. “If you can climb up a ladder, you climb up a rock.” We feel that climbing up rocks always turns out to be a more fun and memorable experience. A guided rock climbing tour is a great activity for groups, families, and individuals of all ages and abilities. ZMS incorporates instructional based guiding. Therefore, your guide will both lead and instruct you on proper methods and techniques during your trip. This enables our clients to become safer and more efficient climbers.
Maintaining high safety standards is our # 1 priority on all trips we run. All of our local and professionally trained rock climbing guides have extensive experience climbing and developing the walls of Zion. The rock found in Zion, Southern Utah, and St. George areas house: sandstone splitters, desert towers, basalt columns, limestone faces, and of course, “desertneering”. It’s like mountaineering, but on sandstone.
We have led groups comprising of multiple families, college groups, summer camps, foreign travelers, scout groups, and indivuals with a wide range of disabilities.

Unless arrangements are made, payments are due in full at the time you book your trip. Zion Mountain School does everything in their power to ensure trips run as planned. If for any reason Zion Mountain School cannot run a trip as scheduled, we will offer a full refund or reschedule your planned event.
If you need to cancel your trip more than 30 days out, Zion Mountain School offers a full refund minus a 10% administrative fee. Once within the 30 day window, but more than 48 hours before the trip, Zion Mountain School will refund 75% of the trip cost. The remaining 25% can be used as credit for future trips with ZMS. This credit is valid for two years. Non-emergency cancellations less than 48 hours of your trip, are non-refundable.
Zion Mountain School strongly recommends Trip Cancellation Insurance to protect your vacation investment. This insurance not only protects your ZMS trip, but also other aspects of you vacation like airfare, hotels, tours, and rentals.
